ボク達がモデルになった舞台が、スタッフを変えてついに浪速芸術劇場で初日を迎えることになったんだ!
舞台を観に来たボク達が楽屋に行ったら、平次兄ちゃんは「浪速ハルカスの展望フロアから見える夕陽が告白絶景ポイント」って聞いて、何かを決意したみたい。
ところが出演者の一人がこの舞台は呪われてるって言い出したんだ!
急いで舞台を仕上げた新しいスタッフが次々と災難にあったのは、元演出家の呪いって言うんだけど…!?

The play that is modeling us is finally having its opening night at Naniwa Art Theater, with new actors.
After seeing the play, we went to the dressing room where Heiji heard about the “Observation floor of the Naniwa Harukas building becoming a popular spot for people to confess”. After hearing that, Heiji seemed like he made up his mind about something.

But then, one of the actors went on about how this play is cursed!

Supposedly the reason the new staff, who rushed to get this play off the ground, have been hit with misfortune after misfortune was due to the former director!

“The Crimson Closing Day (Opening Day)” coming up next!

Off to a good start with this case. Two victims already down and a lot of suspects. The director looked vaguely familiar and took me a while to realize that this is a continuation of a case from more than two years ago: Momiji Ooka’s Sweet Trap Case. Given why the director was killed, I can see why he got the moniker “The Fiendish Puppeteer”. The guy liked to control everything. With someone like that holding the reigns of the play, no wonder there’s so much going on with the staff.

Speaking of the actors, I like how Kazuha didn’t like character she’s based off of. Found it hilarious when the actress asked for Kazuha’s thoughts on her performance.

On another note, I wonder what they would have called Shinichi and Ran in the play. Also, out of all the people to have a role in the play, they decide to have someone play as Eri. Haven’t seen her play a role in the anime in ages. Wouldn’t mind seeing another court case episode with her though.

We still have the Heiji and Kazuha plot line to deal with. Find it fitting that he wants to confess to her in Osaka. I just hope that it works out this time. Good thing is Momiji isn’t around due to her Karuta tournament. Which means that’s one less obstacle to get in the way. Bit worried that Kazuha’s allergies might mess things up though. Speaking of Kazuha, I’m curious what this surprise is she has for Ran.

Going to miss the old ED but it’s nice to have some focus on Kazuha and Heiji. Plus can’t go wrong with Mai Kuraki. I am going to miss Rainy’s ED. It felt as though it was a goodbye to the VA for Ran.

As for the Conan Hint: Marionette – マリオネット

This is one thing that has me stumped. How is the murderer able to have them look like puppets that got there strings cut. Looking forward to how this part of the case is revealed.
