米花町で連続宝石強盗事件を知った歩美ちゃんは、「盗賊団が現れたら名探偵プリキュアに会える」って思ったみたい。
それでボクと少年探偵団のみんなで次の標的って言われてる宝石店から怪しいお客さんを尾行したら、決行日とアジトを突き止めたんだ!
警察の人に全員捕まえてもらったと思ったんだけど、なんだか歩美ちゃんには違和感があるみたいで…?
ボク達みんなでキュアット解決!!

With the multiple robberies by a group of thieves going on, Ayumi gets an idea that if they show up, then she’ll meet Detective Precure.
So, the detective boys investigated the group’s next target: a jewelry store. We tailed one of their members and found out when they’ll rob the store and their hideout!
After the police captured the culprits, Ayumi still seems to have her doubts.
We will CUREtto the case closed!

The anime original detective collaboration mystery! “The Gold-Star Answer” coming up next!

Today’s Episode

Today’s episode is a special collaboration with Star Detective Precure! It’s another anime original but I had fun with this special. Kinda reminds me of the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour collabs back in the day. I didn’t know how it would work out. Their art-styles are different and wasn’t sure how they’d bring Precure to Detective Conan. However, after watching the special, it surprised me how good it was.

Our case starts out with Kaneko displaying a jewel in his store. Out of all places, this is the one store I would not want my jewels to be put on display. Even Conan points out this is the sixth time. The guy beefs up his security and even got robots. On top of that, he hires a guy built like a tank as his bodyguard… that ends up being the guy who is trying to rob him. The guy just can’t win.

When all hope was lost, Precure shows up… or at least the “we have Precure at home” Precure shows up. Ayumi’s expression was fantastic in this moment. The disrespect on the Precure Detective was abysmal and Ayumi was not having it. Even Haibara didn’t know what to make of the situation.

At first I thought that the real Precure was going to pop up, only for it to be Kaito Kid getting some payback. In a previous robbery this group disguised themselves as Kaito Kid. Considering what they did to Precure, I fear what get-up they tried passing off as the Great Phantom Thief himself. I found it adorable that he also did it for Ayumi. I am curious how he dealt with the height situation here though.

Overall, this was a fun episode. Nice collaboration, got a cameo appearance from the real Precure at the end, and Kaneko avoided getting robbed… this time. To top it all off Detective Conan did an episode with them, so I think I’ll be checking it out. And I like mystery shows, so maybe I’ll watch the rest of the show.

On another note, I found it a bit cute that Kuroba is in his room practicing these poses.

Next Episode is…

Sonoko is getting some screen time?! Will the Deduction Queen be making a comeback? I don’t know if this is a canon episode but I am all in favor of having using more characters..
